Description

It follows Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, which says that companies meeting certain financial requirements need to put 2% of their average profits from the last three years toward CSR stuff. It qualifies under Schedule VII, which contains provisions for activities including “animal welfare, health care (preventive health included), education, livelihood enhancement, and assistance to marginalized communities”. It can target robust models of implementation backed up by audited financial reporting and impact assessments checks by the third party to ensure the achievement of compliance and true societal impact for its corporate partners.
